Cohen & Co. Promotes Seven Partners in 2024 Class

Top-50 accounting firm Cohen & Co. announced seven partner promotions on June 6, 2024. CEO Chris Bellamy framed the class as leaders active not only inside the firm but in their markets and communities. Partners are nominated and confirmed through a vote of the firm's ownership group.

New Partners

  • Kelly Anzevino – Tax, Youngstown, OH
  • Ryan Boylan – Assurance, Akron, OH
  • Dave Gonano – Tax, Baltimore
  • Lisa Long – Tax, Milwaukee
  • Jeffrey McMichael – Tax, Detroit
  • Jonathan Williamson – Tax, Akron, OH
  • Stacey Wilson – Assurance, Denver

Board of Managers Updates

Two new members joined Cohen & Co.'s board of managers, which operates on staggered three-year terms:

  • Joe Falbo – Tax Partner, Buffalo, NY
  • Mike McGivney – Tax Partner, Cleveland

Dave Sobochan was reelected. The continuing board includes Tina Dzik, Adam Hill, Jim Kaiser, Marcy Kempf, Josh Lefcowitz, Kim Palmer, and Justin Thomas, alongside permanent board member CEO Chris Bellamy.

Implications

The geographic and service-line spread of the 2024 class — Tax heavy, but with assurance promotions in Akron and Denver — signals continued mid-market expansion across Cohen & Co.'s office footprint. For recruits and lateral candidates, the class illustrates which practice lines and offices are currently on a partner track.
